Facilities

The American Whig-Cliosophic Society provides a number of essential facilities to all its members, from the pool table and television to fine food and study spaces. Your membership entitles you to these and more:

Senate Chamber

The Whig Hall Senate Chamber is the main forum for student debating on campus. The 125-seat Chamber was recently renovated to include  a new gallery that seats 25. New technology added makes the Chamber Princeton’s largest videoconferencing room, allowing students to host multiple speakers at once from remote locations.

The Stokes Lounge

The Stokes Lounge contains a full-size pool table, a wide-screen high-definition television with full cable, coffee and snacks available all day, and a number of comfortable sofas to relax on.

This is the space for members to enjoy when they need a study break or want to informally discuss events of the day with fellow students. The Lounge is open for all members 24 hours a day and is completely free to use.

Computer Cluster and Library

Whig Hall contains high-speed wireless internet access in all parts of the building. You may also use the Computer Cluster located on the first floor. The Cluster also houses the Whig-Clio library, which contains a number of historical and contemporary novels and non-fiction works.

James Madison Room

The James Madison Room is the executive-board room of Whig Hall. The room is used to host Governing Council meetings, as well as the Trustees Dinner Series and small discussion events with professors and prominent speakers.

Whig Hall Offices

The Offices situated in the basement of Whig Hall provide a great meeting space for students. The room also contains a photocopier and laser printer, available for use by members free of charge.
