We hope that visiting this site has shown you the many benefits of joining the American Whig-Cliosophic Society. Once you become a member, you will be entitled to participate in all our Senate Debates, Speaker’s Events, and use the facilities that the Society has to offer. By signing up, you will become a part of the nation’s oldest collegiate political, literary, and debating society.
Whig-Clio is not only Princeton’s largest student group, but it also provides a vital outlet for intellectual discourse and campus debate. We host debates on a wide variety of campus and national issues, in addition to bringing in speakers from throughout the world. Once you join the Society, you become a member for life, allowing you to join an alumni network of thousands of bright Princetonians that have gone on to succeed in both the private and public sector.
There is no “typical” member of Whig-Clio. We bring together students with diverse backgrounds in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering. Our events are focused on engaging students with contemporary issues, whether they are conservative, liberal, or moderate.
