Executive Council

Jay

Jay Parikh ’12 is the President of Whig-Clio. A Wilson School major from Jacksonville, FL, he is interested in studying intelligence, information security, and technology policy. He is an avid outdoorsman, having visited 17 of the nation’s 58 national parks, and he is an accomplished interior designer.

Taylor

Taylor Francis ’14, Director of the Program of Whig-Clio, is a moderate Democrat. Committed to climate and energy issues, he is a part of Al Gore’s Climate Project. He is also a member of the Princeton Entrepreneurship Club and Students for Education Reform (SFER)

Matt

Matt Arons ’13 is the Vice President of Whig-Clio. He is also a member of the Princeton Debate Panel and Publisher of American Foreign Policy magazine.

John

John “Matt” Butler ’12, President of the Senate, is a proud member of the Clio Party. Former President of the Debate Panel, Matt is also a member of the Prince Editorial Board and Princeton Disability Awareness.

Max

Max Siegel ’14 is secretary of the American Whig-Cliosophic Society and a member of Princeton Mock Trial. Hoping to study in the Woodrow Wilson School, Max is a research associate of the Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination and a fellow of the European Union Program at Princeton. His academic interests range from grand strategy to economic policy.

 

Subsidiary Presidents

Jeff

Jeff Morell ’13, President of IRC, is a chemical engineering major from Atlanta, Georgia. He plays a lot of golf, listens to a lot of music, and runs IRC with sheer force of will. He is most commonly found in Whig Hall at all hours of the day.

Dan

Dan Lewis ’13 is the President of the Debate Panel. He is a native son of Halifax, Canada and is currently an economics major.

Britt

Britt Sanders ’13 is a Wilson School major from Kansas City. She serves as the President of Mock Trial

Matt
Matthew Dolan ’13, Co-Executive Director of Princeton Model Congress, is a computer science major from Bedford, NY.  He loves the outdoors, traveling, and a good action movie.
Chris

Chris Greco ’13 is Executive Director of Princeton Model Congress. A native of Brooklyn, NY, Chris studies Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with a focus in aeronautics. He is a member of the varsity squash team and BodyHype Dance Company. Lifelong dreams include traveling west of Ohio, learning to whistle, and getting more than 5 hours of sleep a night.

Andrew

Andrew Sartorius ’13, the Treasurer of Whig-Clio, is majoring in the Wilson School. He is Director of Conferences for the International Relations Council and President of Club Soccer.

Anthony

Anthony Paranzino ’14 is the Clio Party Chairman. He is from San Jose, California and plans to study economics and public policy. When not debating, he avidly follows Sharks hockey and serves as a sports broadcaster for WPRB.

Taman

Taman Narayan ’13 is an economics major from San Jose, California and the Whig Party Speaker. When he’s not cranking out problem sets or surfing the political blogosphere, he can be found poring over NFL statistics and eating lots of cereal. He loves any and all debates, so helping to run the Senate is always a pleasure

Ajay

Ajay Tungare ’12, Director of the Alumni Affairs Council, is in the EEB department studying Neuroscience. He hails from Morristown, NJ, and has been involved in IRC for the last three years.

Cara

As Director of Membership, Cara Eckholm ’14 organizes campus outreach efforts and plans Whig Clio’s (new) annual Spring Banquet. She is a freshman from New York planning on studying International Relations, and is a member of the Princeton Debate panel.

Claire

Claire Branch ’14 is Director of Institution Building and is a freshman from North Carolina.

 

Appointed Members

Jason

Jason Kaplan ’12 is the Student Curator of Whig Hall’s art and artifacts. A philosophy major pursuing a certificate in neuroscience, he is a veteran of the Connecticut high school debate circuit and a deserter from APDA.

Owen

Owen Daniels ’14, from Albany, NY, is a member of the Speaker’s Council. He plans on majoring in the Wilson School. In addition to the Whig-Clio Society, Owen is a member of the Men’s Club Soccer team.

Rohan

Rohan Bhargava ’14 is on the Alumni Affairs committee of the Governing Council. His interests include international relations, chemistry, and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Xiang

Xiang Ding ’13, a member of the Speaker’s Council, is an economics major from Hong Kong. In Whig-Clio, he is involved with Debate and IRC. Outside of Whig-Clio, he loves to travel and eat.

Tim

Tim Hwang ’14 serves as the Director of Events for Whig-Clio. He has served in numerous political leadership positions including being an elected member of the Montgomery County, MD Board of Education.

Michael

Michael Skiles ’12 serves on the Governing Council as Historian. He is a philosophy major, focusing on Natural Law Theory.
